In our work, we have so many roles to play, and our job description is varied to say the least. But at the end of the day, your role is to establish a successful business. Success is measured in a number of ways, but usually on behalf of sales results. One way to help increase sales is to create awareness of your company and services.
The messages of your product or service is delivered and received in different ways. Hundreds of ways, actually. Communication is everywhere. We have a large amount of information from the moment we wake up, it's time to fall asleep at night, and it starts faster, busier and crazier. Or is it just me? We not only have our traditional media including TV, print and radio to send messages there, brochures, billboards, bus backs and, of course, all new media like the Internet, blogs, cable TV and rest. I know how they break down all this noise? How can we stay out so that eventually people buy a product or service?
Apparently, the larger companies these days are a combination or mixture of all functions associated with building and maintaining relationships. These functions may include public relations, media management, marketing and publicity, and under the auspices of Marcom, a mixture of marketing and communication. As a business owner you need to make sure you have a series of activities that includes only the successful integration and implementation of these strategies are not only profitable for your business, but increased exposure, brand recognition and reputation.Here the short list to see if they are incorporating these tactics into your paper.
Marketing - sales and visits a customer calls, developing new clients, manage databases, building referral networks, affiliate programs or opportunities for alliances. Classifieds in your local newspaper advertising boards, yellow pages, radio, Internet and Google ads. Advertising is expensive, especially as a standalone tool to create consciousness. But a small amount of advertising, your communication efforts will generate a maximum return on investment.
Event Management - fairs, open house, networking, seminars, speeches, drinks desktop client or a business lunch.
Media Strategy - sending press releases, copywriting, interviews and photo opportunities, building relationships and launching media.
New Media Management - website content, website promotion, e-books, e-zines, blogs, online networks, search engine optimization. Like the rest of this list is a communication strategy in all of their own have an online presence is almost mandatory these days, but your site must be more than an online brochure PR.
