While most of us equate diet drinks with a healthy lifestyle, you might be surprised to discover that they are not as healthy as you think
When diet drinks were more popular back in the mid-nineties, but when I was a budding bodybuilding competitor trying to get in optimum shape, I thought it was the ideal solution, a no sugar, zero calorie drink I could engage in without any trouble. My coaches back then, all the old timers who have expressed their opinion that if the brain perceives what is consumed like sugar, the body will react with the concomitant insulin spike. (An insulin spike is set in motion the mechanisms of body fat storage) At the time I was not completely convinced by their arguments, but I took their advice anyway, anyway I had seen that those who have listened to what they said looked and as such I had no reason to distrust their instincts.
As luck would have it, there have actually been studies that show that even if its not real presence of glucose, the body produces insulin in response to consumption of a diet soda, but in how the dog Pavlov salivate at the sound of a bell, after being fed a treat every time a bell rang. So in the end, it turns out they were right all along.
I would also add that diet drinks are an indication of a lot of food, which is not a natural part of human diet, and on the basis alone should be avoided, but there are other practical reasons to drink it. An important factor is the high phosphorus content, which may be a factor in osteoporosis, has been shown to deplete calcium phosphate. Other countries (usually poor), which are ingested dairy products and high calcium has the same problems of osteoporosis is the United States and other developed countries, one of the main theories establishes guilt for the number one American drink, soda, and kissing his cousin, the now fashionable diet soda.
All these things aside, and not to mention the possible dangers of artificial sweeteners, I have seen in his experience over the years, customers who are constantly trained properly and eat the best progress in the loss of whole body fat than those who ate and trained constantly, but is consumed in the diet drinks on a regular basis. It is usually the last thing to do to my customers, because they make the transition to eating slowly, so they can stay in shape all year round, from the original food habits, diet drinks, and when stopped, there is a noticeable difference in their progress.
It can not be scientifically validated, double-blind, but that's what I've seen over the years, and it makes sense. I also believe that the ability to eat properly takes away from what simply is not good for you, and drink diet soda, you're kind of behavior continues you agree that the taste of a good thing, particularly with respect to the work to be familiar with tastes of the foods that are really good.
